Computer Software Engineers - The Brain Behind the Software

Author: Sheena Vc
Computer software engineers are people who are qualified professionals working behind the scene to bring us the latest in the software technology. The technology being almost a part and parcel of our daily routine we look forward for their latest development unknowingly. Their developments can more often than not be used beneficially in our lives. The computer software being a fast developing field it has become almost impossible to keep up with the daily developments. So in the present day the job of computer software engineers do require specialization in a particular field to keep abreast of changing technology.

This means if we want to know what is the latest technology to be had in a certain area, then instead of asking any software engineers we will get the right information only if we ask specialized engineers in that particular area. Even though the other engineers might be able to give you an abstract idea of the developments they may be way off the hook in providing you with the best information. Not many people are aware of such difference in software developments so they choose the wrong engineers and end up getting mediocre results from the service they bought. This might be one of the reasons why they do not find the same deliverance for the same issue of a next door neighbor.

There is no uniform software package to be followed, different industry have different needs so the software engineers should learn skill sets of each industry and develop packages for their need. This is not a simple process one has to spend days and months of experimenting and testing to bring out top notch products in the definite area they concentrate. Actual what we get as a simple final product are the result of months of hard toil. Never do we think on this aspect when we discard some of these developments as outdated. There are hundreds of companies employing software engineers to come up with top quality software deliverance to reap the profits when it is really hot. Good computer software engineers are actually experts in their area of system deployment. The operational software system is actually the end result of the engineers transforming mechanical, electrical or computer system into a package easily usable by us.

It is the software engineers who perform all the activities behind the functional system available for use. So if we can seek out good software engineers we can use their deployment for quality products. Once we choose an experienced software engineer to build us a software system to suit our particular need we can be assured of systems quality because they might have tried and tested the system package many times over. They know the basics of what we require and they can also customize it for us to the way we find it easy to use. The situation being so they may also be able to smell a new idea when you take them to it for your needs.

How to Compare Antivirus Software?

How to Compare Antivirus Software?

Author: Anu
There's an influx of antivirus software in the internet these days. Antivirus software are everywhere in the internet. Article about them are also common. The problem with having too much of one thing is that you will have a hard time selecting the good from the bad. To come up with a list of possible choices one has to compare antivirus software. Comparing is not easy, considering the number of antivirus to compare. Many website are there to help with comparison but they only compare a few. They focus their comparison to selected antivirus that are already there for many years. How about those antivirus software that have just recently started but may also have the ability to perform well? They don't have the chance to be tested and be proven competitive with the popular ones.

Popularity

There should be a means to compare antivirus software not based on popularity but with their ability to thwart virus attacks. I have read articles that compare antivirus software and they are impressive. They test antivirus software based on how they detect known virus. Many antivirus software fared very well. Others did not do well because they were not able to detect new virus. The problem is that they limit their comparison to a chosen few. What about those that are left out? How will they be given a chance?

Who says So?

There are also those who compare antivirus software based on what the company that made them has to say about their product. I don't know if this is reliable enough. There are people who claim to have done something but if you ask them to do it they can't. There are just too many people who tell lies this days. I don't say that all of them are liars but who would know the difference between an honest company from a lying one. They all write pretty good things about their products. Who would say bad things about something they themselves made?

Who's Initiative?

The initiative to compare antivirus software should come from people other that those who made it or have any vested interest about it. The objective of the comparison should be to help people in choosing the right antivirus and not to promote one. People would love to know the truth about antivirus. There are already so much antivirus out there. It's already difficult to know all of them. Another product profile may turn buyers off. What people need is honest, comprehensive, fair and accurate comparison of antivirus software based on performance and ability to protect computers from virus attacks.

It may take a long time before anyone can compare antivirus software comprehensively. That would be very difficult to do considering that there are so much of these products in the market today. There are also many things to consider. A definite plan should be established first before the factual, realistic and unbiased way to compare antivirus software is realized.

Antivirus Software Reviews: What Exactly is a Good Antivirus Software Review?

Antivirus Software Reviews: What Exactly is a Good Antivirus Software Review?

Author: Anu
It is good to listen to expert's advice when faced with difficulty in selecting a product from among many choices. But are these experts really telling the truth? I have read many product reviews and I sometimes doubt the accuracy of some of them because they tend to promote a product rather than tell the truth about it.

There are a lot of antivirus software reviews in the internet these days. It has become difficult to tell which of these reviews are legitimate and which are ponies. Pony antivirus software reviews are intended to deceive people and lure them to buy substandard products. They are written to promote products that will fail to meet the good qualities written about them in the review. Their goal is not to guide buyers but to fool them.

Here are some guidelines in telling which Antivirus software reviews are telling the truth:

Intention: Good or Bad?

Some antivirus software reviews may not have a bad intention. The reviews may be based on facts and are properly tested. They might even come from reliable sources but with the intention of promoting a product. These antivirus software reviews tells the truth about a certain antivirus program. But they focus on the good side and intentionally leave out the bad. This is understandable if they were clearly intended to promote a product and not for comparison. No one will promote a product and focus on the negative side. The problem is when the product is reviewed along with other products of the same kind then focus on the advantages of one product and the disadvantages of the other.

Purpose: Lead or Mislead?

There are many aspects of an antivirus program that antivirus software reviews can base upon. When the review focuses on some excellent features and leaves out the not-so-good features, then the review is questionable. There has to be a complete disclosure of facts so the buyer can base their choices on the feature they need. The problem with some antivirus software reviews is that they tend to lead not guide. They lead people to believe that the product they are endorsing is the best product available in the market. That could be true in one aspect but there are other aspects to consider that are not even mentioned. There should have been no problem if the review leads people to the best antivirus. But there are antivirus software reviews that are misleading people in thinking that one is the best though it is far from it.

Content: Truth or Lies?

Good antivirus software reviews are those that tell the truth. They do not fabricate lies to make their review look believable. There has to be concrete support to the claims written in a review to make it more believable. This support comes in the form of actual tests and certification from experts. A good review will not hesitate to mention names of people or organization that specializes in the product they are reviewing.

In the end the buyer has the final decision. Reviews are only there to guide them come up with the best choice. If you want to know more about how to know what constitute a good antivirus review, you can go to the website: http://www.antivirusreviews.ws

How to Protect Your Family From Telemarketers

Author: Tyler Stanford
Telemarketing is probably the most source of con-artists or scams for any family. Questionable marketers may call you at any time of the day to offer investment schemes or sweepstakes plans. Then they pressure you to sign up immediately because the offer is only good for a limited period of time. Often, they'll demand some kind of up-front investment or fee to participate, which is always a red flag that the caller is not on the up-and-up.

Be forewarned: Don't give out any personal information or credit card numbers to a person who calls you on the phone like this. Don't buy anything from anyone over the phone. Some older people in particular seem to have a harder time hanging up on obnoxious salespeople. This may be because they don't want to be rude. If this is the case with you, get a phone equipped with Caller ID so that you can simply not pick up when you don't the number of the caller.

Also, make sure your phone number is registered with the national Do Not Call registry. This should significantly cut down -- if not eliminate altogether -- the number of telemarketers calling your home.

If you have kids, it's also very important to educate them not to answer the phone unless they specifically know who is calling. This protects them not only from phone solicitors but from all manner of dangerous characters.

Going beyond this basic form of not answering the phone, there are steps you and your family can take to protect yourselves. Many phone companies offer a call screening service, which means they do not automatically let callers ring your phone until you specifically accept calls from their phone number. This works well, especially for people who usually get calls from the same set of people.

One final step a family can take is to utilize an online telemarketer identification and blocking site like Phone Spam Filter or Telemarketer Catcher. These sites allow you to look up a phone number to see if others have complained about it in the past.

Also, there are tools online for automatically blocking inbound calls based on whether they show up in a database, if you have the technical inclination to figure that out.
